This collection of occasional reflections is a first by one of Singapore's most distinguished poets. Exploring how her spiritual life has sustained and clarified her writing, and vice versa, these very personal views and insights witness to the power of the Word in shaping the inner life and impacting others.
Lee affirms the roots of her own literary formation by drawing on vivid memories of pleasurable experiences as reader, and assesses some of the common misconceptions that make people avoid poetry. Central to the explorations is the link the poet sees between what words embody, and the universal search for love.
