Avril Herng is a young novelist, author and illustrator whose creative journey has evolved alongside the Laura Taylors series.
She made her debut as a novelist at just 11 years old, continued publishing at 12, and by 13 had published an impressive body of fiction, establishing herself as one of the youngest prolific authors of her generation.
For The Illustrated Journey, Avril takes her storytelling beyond words, serving as both the author and illustrator, bringing her own characters, scenes and imagined world to life through her illustrations.
Her journey reflects a young creator constantly evolving—from writing her first novel at 11, to developing more intricate stories at 12 and 13, and now expanding her storytelling through both words and visual art.
